On a DT-140, Is the tilt lock lever sufficient to hold the motor up during transport?
thanks.

I belive the manual says no. This is a highly opinionated subject. Many like "transom savers" other don't care.

What I do, and this is just me, is tilt the engine down so the trim cylinders are touching. My reasoning is if the transom can take the pressure of the engine "pushing" against it while bouncing over waves, what is a little bounce while driving down the road? Just my $.02.

Thanks, I have a 18 1/2 foot Cobia and the bunks are the only thing sticking out to connect to, so I'll have to fabricate something removeable and connect to them. Thanks again!!!
Larry
