just bought a 1998 20 ft Grady White Overnighter with a 1996 Suzuki DT225 EFI. Problem: The check engine light comes on and off at all rpms and it cuts back the engine speed (power reduction mode?). I changed the Overheat sensor, changed the oil flow sensor (twice), changed the brand of two-stroke oil to a thinner one, changed the oil level sensor -- but still the same problem. Any ideas? I am desperate -- I want to get out on the Delaware Bay before the cold weather comes in...

If that switch is faulty will it also cause "check engine" and power reduction?

Thanks for the great parts link -- very helpful...I cannot find a water pressure switch in the repair manual. I have a 1996 DT225CLT -- EFI. Could it be that I don't have one on this engine?
