just bought a 1998 20 ft Grady White Overnighter with a 1996 Suzuki DT225 EFI. Problem: The check engine light comes on and off at all rpms and it cuts back the engine speed (power reduction mode?). I changed the Overheat sensor, changed the oil flow sensor (twice), changed the brand of two-stroke oil to a thinner one, changed the oil level sensor -- but still the same problem. Any ideas? I am desperate -- I want to get out on the Delaware Bay before the cold weather comes in... |

If that switch is faulty will it also cause "check engine" and power reduction? |

Thanks for the great parts link -- very helpful...I cannot find a water pressure switch in the repair manual. I have a 1996 DT225CLT -- EFI. Could it be that I don't have one on this engine? |
