ok i just bought a boat with 2002 Suzuki 115. whenever i get planed off the steering becomes hard to keep straight. if i let off the steering wheel turns hard right and it will do a 360 on its own. the people at suzuki place told me to bring it to them n let them bleed the line but i dont think that will fix the problem.. any sugessions would be awsome.
thanks, chase

should the back of fin (the part closes to the boat)be turned toward the way its pulling me? its pulling me right so i should turn the back of the fin towards the right (starboard) side of the boat? thats what ive been tryin to do but there are notches cut in the fin and it want allow it to turn that way.. only the opposite way

The back of fin should be away from the direction of pull, but as J-I-T stated if you look down on the fin from the top, you would be turning the fin twards the pull. Also, if you are have trouble adjusting the fin, back the retaining bolt out more and you should be able to pass the notches you are discribing.

I agree that the steering is not likely the issue. You may find the boat pulling allot less if you play with the trim settings while under way. Another possibility could be a transducer or other mounted hardware that is mounted too low at the transom. The most unlikely but possible issue could be a "hook" in the hull of your boat. Sometimes durring the construction of a boat the molded hull is prematurely removed from the mold without the proper stuctual reinforcemts in place. This results in a hull that may look fine but have a twist or curve in the running surface of the boat causing it to pull or ride at a list.
