has anyone heard that on my 1998 DF70 that after 800 hours on motor the motor will shut off and you have to buy a new computer board at around 1800.00 ? thanks |

I have 3 commercial fishermen I've sold DF70's to that have over 3000+ hrs. each with no problems |

I have a 2003 df70 with less than 800 hours on the clock. I would hope that no manufacturer could possibly program an outboard to shut down at certain hour totals. I often use this engine in the upper Niagara River above Niagara Falls. Can you imagine if I reached 800 hours and I was a half mile from the falls. This must be an urban legend story. |
