My DF60 runs great at idle, however when I start to increase RPM it starts miss firing. It seems to oscillate,firing on all four then missing on all four. I thought at first it might be water in the gasoline. I replaced the gas filters with no luck. I then replaced the plugs. Any Ideas, Thanks BUd K |

No alarms JIT. However, the next day after posting this request the motor started missing constantly on cylinder #3. After troubeshooting this problem I found the coil shorted between the primary and secondary windings. I suppose that when it started to arc insided the coil it was also killing the spark to plug #2 making the engine surge when it fired properly. I had to replace the other coil about 18 months ago. When I talked with the local marinas the technicians told me that they had never seen a coil go bad on these motors?? |

I finally replaced the coil and the engine runs great up to about 3000rpms. above 3000 it cuts on and off about every second, oscillating so to speak. I have replaced the plugs, fuel filters, checked for water in the fuel, fuel flow at the output of the fuel pump is good, although I did not check the pressure. There are no alarms. Thanks |
