I'm trying to find out what my 1985 dt55 suzuki is worth. i think the carburetors need rebuilt, gas is coming out of the top/side hole of the carburetor when i try to start it,i can spray gas in the carburetors and it will fire up, but gas is coming out of the carburetor. If someone could tell me what they think it's worth, how serious,or how to fix the the problem i would appreciate it. Thanks

Would you believe NADA says your motor is only worth between 65 and 75 bucks (I'm serious).

Labour and kits for your carbs would probably run you in the 300-400 dollar range at most places.

On the used market you may get 500 for the motor in it's current condition (maybe).

But stack that against the cost of a new 50/60 horse which is listing for 5-6 grand (or more). The cost of fixing the carbs maybe don't look so bad....

you have a stuck float valve in carb that flows fuel out the throat.
