Just bought the Honda flush kit for my BF40A. Can the engine be run in neutral in my driveway using the flush kit and a garden hose? Do I need to block any intake ports? |

If you check the "cleaning and flushing" section of your manual it says you can and shows you how to do it. Remember to cover the two side intake ports as well as the small intake port that is above the propeller. Duct tape works pretty good as long as you apply it to a dry surface. |

I ordered a maint manual a couple of weeks ago, but it hasn't come in yet. Thanks for the info! |

Sorry to mislead you...the "cleaning and flushing" section that I was referring to is in your owner's manual. If you do not have one, you can download one for free from Honda at this web site http://www.honda-marine.com/owners/OwnerManuals.aspx |
