Hi, I am  to this forum and to boating in general.
I live in the UK  and am struggling to get the information I require. I am trying to get some information on a Honda outboard I have (year, model number etc)
The serial number stamped on the engine block is BAJE 1003799 and I believe it to be 30hp, I was told by the origional owner that it was imported to the UK from spain.
I have spoken to Honda UK who have no record of the engine, they put me on to a local Honda agent who in turn advised me to contact an online community such as yourselves, I have tried some UK sites but they are nowhere near as active as you guys.
The only other information I have, if it helps, is that it is 499cc, manual tilt and trim and controlled by remotes.
Any information would be much appreciated

You might want to contact Honda of Spain.
Different Honda Models sold in different countries.
A US Honda Parts Catalog can be found here:

A BF75&BF100 (7.5&10 HP) could not be differentiated by s/n, rather by logo on cover and punch mark on cam.
My BF100 had no s/n, but could narrow the possibilities by what parts were listed (for a s/n range) in Honda BF75/BF100 Shop Manual and Parts Catalog. |

My biggest issue is that I need to narrow the age down so I can get the correct shop manual. I believe the engine to be pre 2004 as Honda increased the capacity to 552cc around that time.
I will contact Honda Spain after I have brushed up on my spanish  |

They only list one Shop Manual for a BF30 and it looks like they have them all.
(Check the list down the right side of that page.)
But you could ask them.

Honda-US links to helminc.com as the official supply for Shop Manuals and they also only show one Shop Manual for a BF30A and in footnote indicate that it covers BF25A as well.
