I checked all of the archives to see if this had already been answered but it has not been asked. My power tilt seized up yesterday and I turned the screw to allow manual tilt but it will not tilt up. I have the original manual and it does not indicate any other locks. I am assuming that I have a hydro lock and I will need to open the bleeder screw, (the one to the left of the manual override screw) to allow fluid out as I tilt the engine up. The engine moves about 6 inches before it stops as I try to tilt it but it almost feels like there is some kind of latch stopping it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Was wondering if someone could tell me if I am correct about having to open that bleeder screw in order to tilt my motor up? I hate to do it if I don't need to. |

Thanks for responding Justin. I finally figured out that I had to back the manual tilt screw out 4 turns instead of 2 as the manual said, in order to be able to tilt the motor by hand. |
