I have a 8hp stroke 1998. While running at trolling spedd 2mph. It evry now and then bogs down and emitts blue smoke. It then clears up and is fine for a while sometimes hours. Then it will do it again. Plugs have about 8 hours on them. Any ideas? |

check for gas in oil
might be bad fuel pump |

Thanks for the reply. I checked and I have water in the oil. It looks like coffee creamer. When I had it serviced. They put too much oil in it and I ran it and had problems. They drained the oil and sent me back ou on the water. And know I have water in the oil. Headgasket??? Would too much iol in the crankcase blow the head gasket? If so what long term effects can i expect? Thank you In advance for your response.

change the oil and run it agian
it could be the powerhead gasket or head, or cracked block, or cracked head
a leakdowntest might find it |
