I'm looking at buying a boat with a 2001 honda 130 hp. The motor has less than 100 hours. Is there anything I should look out for or anything I need to check. Any information or advice would be helpful.
Thank you.

Also, I'm going to do a compression test on it, what would I expect to find on a good engine. Is this motor fuel injected?

1.- Yes it is fuel injection.
2.- Check all the fitting of the fuel system lines,to and from the fuel injection system and pump, next to the engines. Mine came with metal automotive grade fiting and rusted out on the first year. I was told that this is mormal maintenace. But do I have to change them everuy 1 or 2 years. That is not normal maintenacce. Mine where changed by the factory and I saved + $1,000.00 per engine. They installed the system of the 115HP engine and it has workes just fine. It required a full change over of ALL the fuel system, pumpa, and lines. The 115 HP has plastic fitings and don,t corrod in salt water. The diference between the 115 and the 130 is the fuel injectors and the cam shaft. Good luck.
