my 90 hp yamaha is leaking oil around the oil pump that is attached to the oil tank by a very secured rubber gasket. just the fact of the tank being full of oil must be putting pressure on the gasket. is this a common problem and what can i do to fix this. i alwalys leave the engine tilted during strorage on the prop holder. never been a problem before, just wondering if i need to put engine at 90 degrees when stored in the yard. |

i thought that was the oil pump but it is actually the oil sensor. and it is leaking around the top of the flange or nipple |

Store the engine in the down position and see if you still have the problem |
