3hp 2 stroke 3MSHK
I'm not getting fuel into the fuel pump. There is definitely fuel getting to the pump,if you pull the hose fuel runs out. I have taken the pump off a doz. times no fuel in side . I put all new gaskets & diaphragm in . I'm getting puffs of air when I pull the starter through the lower holes/jets . . I think the problem is .... what ever makes the pump pull fuel in is not working . what does the hole at the top do? is it support to puff through there also ?? what makes the diaphragm pump? I'm stumped |

Well as i know. What happens is the fuel gets pumped first by a bulb before the fuel diaphram. Then it should have a vaccum that continues to pull it to the engine. That would be my thought on how it is suppose to work. You said you pulled the fuel diaphram off, maybe you need to go over the steps and take it off. |

Oh i read that wrong, read 30hp instead of 3hp. Well, it seems as though something was put on wrong when the you did the rebuild. Has to be the culprit. |

The culprit was the check valve .I had it out but must not have gotten all the sticky stuff off. |
