Hi, it's my first post. I'm thinking of getting a new boat and I'm looking for input on the F250 vs. the Vmax 250. I have a Merc Verado 250 on my current boat and it has made oil and I'm stuggling to get it repaired. I've seen a couple of posts where the Yamaha F series engines make oil as well and I'm leery of getting into the same situation. Are the VMax engines more reliable? How do they compare from a performance perspective? Thanks for the input. Don |

My brother works on ferrys that run two verado's on the back and they are getting over two thousand hours without blowing up. However the my dad has a F225 and its a terrific engine!! |
