Hard starting 9.9 short shaft

Author Message   Norman Smith New member Username: kwhale Post Number: 1 Registered: 09-2009 Posted on Monday, September 07, 2009 - 02:00 pm:    I have a 2000 9.9 with (I am told, a wax choke?)and I have to take the cowling off and put my thumb across the intake of the carb to manually choke it. Consequently it floods and fouls the plugs very easily. Is there a way to refit this with a pull out manual choke? It is a bearcat to start this and I am ready to deep six this thing. Help!...
