The engine oil ran out of my motor from leaving it tilted all the way up. I ran the boat and the low oil alret sounded, ran back on idle. Now I have changed the oil and filter. Even though its up to the full mark on the dipstick when I ran the motor again the rpm limiter and the oil alert come on. What is my trouble? Does it store a code or have I damaged the motor? HELP |

Your oil alert light indicates no oil pressure..
That motor should not run out of oil no matter how high it is tilted up. You need to find out where the oil has leaked from. Further to that, if you ran that engine with no oil pressure(oil warning light on) even at idle for any more than a few minutes you have almost certainly caused serious damage to the powerhead. |
