I believe the fuel pump went, got some water in the gas. Does any one know if they are difficult to install. Time?

David, the F225 has two fuel pumps - a low pressure and a high pressure. Neither is particularly difficult to change but like with anything mechanical, a manual is priceless if you plan on doing the job yourself.

However, troubleshoot first. You can swap alot of very expensive parts trying to pin down what is causing a problem. Sometimes it's worth spending the cost of a diagnosis at a shop - could save you hundreds of bucks collecting good spare parts for your motor...

When I have the prime bulb full, the engine will start and run for 3-4 minuets, then it dies, prime it again and it starts and dies in 3-4 minuets. It will keep running as long as I keep the primer bulb full. Do you think it is the low pressure?

David, that almost sounds like you have a problem on the other side of the primer bulb, the tank side.

If you had to continuously pump the bulb to keep it going you would be acting as the fuel pump, but from your description it kinda sounds more like the motor is sucking the line dry and then dying from lack of gas.

Check out the tank end first - is the vent clogged/malfunctioning, do you have a water separating filter that is clogged up, bad anti-syphon valve, clogged tank pick-up etc....
