I have a 1989 125hp Force and I like to winterice it my self, can someone give me some directions? thanks.} |

put stabil in fuel tank, run engine for about 30 min on idle to ensure treated fuel gets into carbs, shut off engine.
get 2 cans spray fogger, with engine running spray into both carbs at same time, 20 sec, 20sec , 20sec, if engine stalls restart, then spray till engine stalls out. take out plugs spray rest of one can into the 4 cylinders. spin flywheel oncee around put in plugs.
Leave engine down for the winter.
you done. |

Don't forget to change that lower unit gear oil and lubricate all moving parts, such as steering and tilt with the appropriate products.
Remove prop check for seal leakage and fishing line. Clean and lube shaft and prop splines.
Clead and ispect all wires and electrical connections for hardening and cracks or corrosion.
Wipe the motor down while looking for possible leaks or potential problems. |
