I made a post a few days ago about a 83 force 85HP not running well under load.Here is my update...

Compression is 120lb on all 3 cylinders.Fuel is Fresh and mixed properly. All 3 carbs have been gone threw and cleaned. Starts and idles great.Revs up in neutral. when under load it bogs down and wants to sputter and spit!!PLEASE HELP

Sounds like you have 1 cylinder that isn't firing, or the idle mixture/low speed mixtures are lean.

Brian,

Your right one cylinder isn't firing properly thus the loss of power. However I'm guessing the idle mixture is too rich because when you rev it up in neutral it blows a lot of blue smoke but it still doesn't hesitate(revs right up).OR it is an electrical problem and i think we have it narrowed down to plug wires.My friend is changing those today and Ill post my update when finished. If this doesn't work we will have to dig deeper.
