I just bought this motor $380 to upgrade from a 50hp omc for more power. It looks like I need something to mount the control cables to, I see 2 extra threaded studs in or near the path to the throttle and shift connections so I'm guessing a bracket or 2 is needed? Is there supposed to be a cover on the carb? And last thing, the serial number plate is gone so is there another way to determine what model serial this is like a stamp somewhere? Thanks for any help and here is a pick of the motor if it helps any. |

the force shift & throttle cables have very different ends then the OMC's. the cables usually goe through a swivel bracket and attach to a non moving post. the Forces usually had a simple cover over the carbs. and the serial number plate is usually on the port side, inside the lower cover. |
