i noticed a little gas dripping. what i did was putthe muffs on and started the engine it idled fine then i shut it off and trimmed the engine up then i noticed a couple drips of gas dripping what does this mean is this a bad thing thank you for your help

Hi,my old merc 420 used to do that,so i used to run it till it used all the fuel up in the carbi bowl[tank disconnected]then tilt it.no leaks.but,depends what motor youve got.try taking the cover off and see where its coming from.

i cant really tell were its coming from.when i pump the bulb it tightens and i dont see any gas dripping. it just does it once in awhile when i get off the lake and trim the motor up i'll sometimes notice a couple of drips.by the way my motor is a 1993 mercury 75hp engine
