My trim gauge suddenly stopped working yesterday on my 1995 75hp 3 cyl Mariner. Found a black wire with a white trace, goes to a sensor of some sort on the end of the trim cylinder...I think!

Any ideas where I start looking? lol

Hii,i would raise the motor right up,and see if u can see any wires dangling.if youve broken the wire/s and theres some still sticking out of the sender unit, simple job of joining the matching colours.just make sure you havent blown a fuse, and that when the motor goes down, the wires are clear.follow JB's colour code
