Just bought a 40 hp mercury engine. It has oil injecttion at the moment. I would like to remove this and premix...What EXACTLY do you do with the oil pump? Let it run dry? Loop it somehow? What exactly is the best was of handling it? Many thanks in advance |

If you're concerned about it failing, run 100:1 premix in the fuel tank. That covers all bases, so to speak. Oil's cheap; power heads are not! Jeff |

Well it may never fail buttt just would feel better about it if I just premixed. I simply would not mind premixing the gas one bit. Do you guys no how to handle it about the oil pump? |
