I have a 1996 90 hp 3-cyc mercury outboard that cut out this morning while come to full throttle it died down like the lack of fuel and cut off.
you could hold the choke and it would stay running but not able to put in gear because it would cut off. At home on hose got good fuel supply but it will not run. cranks and cuts off.}

Rebuild the fuel pump. Get a merc kit so you will be sure to get the new style check valves.
