I have a Mariner 30HP (Japan)30E Ser.#689 411280
I would like to know the year, What the timing should be set at and where I can get a manual.
Can anyone please help? |

Virginia, I can give you 2 out of 3 - that is a 1984 "A" model Mariner, built by Yamaha for Merc.
An excellent all round manual is Seloc's manual for "Mariners" - the 1 and 2 cylinder version 1970-something thru 1989 - sells for about 35 bucks in either printed or online versions.
I can't give you the timing - I'm all packed up to move on Friday so my Mariner manuals (all paper form) are currently somewhere in a pile of boxes - sorry  |
