It's 96year,15hp. It's hard to start and really bad idle and no power(it likes 5hp). When I disconneted the fuel line from a tank, 1~2min later it's really good condition; power and sound. Once I cleaned the carb, fuel line and changed spark plugs, after that really good condition; power up and easy to start. I adjusted a float, I wanted it's more good condition. Finally, worst. So I replaced gasket and diaphram last week. No use, same conditon.
What the problems with my egine?????
Could you help~~~

Back up a minute - after you disconnected the fuel line - the one that goes to the motor from the gas tank, it started running good?

Have you tried a different gas tank and hose?

Sounds like you have a fuel tank ventilation problem.

Agree Kirk, that's what I was kinda thinking - either bad vent or blocked pick-up in the tank...

Engine is running rich. Work on your float again.

I just had a simular prole and the inlet float needle was sticking inthe bore ever so slightly. I had to run a very fine abrasive in the bore to get smooth and shiney after that engine ran great. You could check the inlet needle with the carb off blow into the passage from the fuel pump to the bown then raise the float up it should stop all air flow is working correctly.

How old is the fuel? Could have lost some of it's bang and causing these issues? Is oil mix right?
