I have a 1982 Mercury 70hp (3cyl) sn# 6164457 and I cant find any information as to how the throttle cam connected to the throttle shaft of the carburator is supposed to be adjusted. I know that the idle adjustments are to be made in forward gear under load. I have attached a illustration of the parts. Does anyone know the steps to take to make this adjustment?

Solved. Figured out this should begin to open carbs somewhere between 3-4 degrees BTDC. |
