I need help determining the year and weight of my just purchased Mercury Sea Pro 30 HP Short shaft 2 stroke. Serial # on motor is 0G369775. A dealer told me it's between a 94'-98 model. Is this correct. Also looking for the dry weight of it? It weighs a ton and concerned putting it on my 14' inflatable. Thanks for all your help! Jim |

Actually, that's a de-tuned 40 hp motor--that's one reason why it's so heavy. Jeff PS: The motor in the photo is my latest winter project: a Merc triple (65 hp) mounted on a Mark 55 tower. Complete with electric starting and a custom made hood it weighs only 140 lbs. Shame on you, Mercury!
