I am trying to find parts for a Mercury 1500 150hp engine. The serial # is 3425086. This serial # range is not included in any of the year lookup charts I have found. I am trying to get a diaphram kit. Does anybody have any info on this engines year or where I can get parts? |

try www.crowleymarine.com they may have the kit you are looking for. Bought a full rebuild kit for my 25 HP merc there. |

need help, I have a mercury 9.9 I think it is a 1997.problem is that it will start and idle but when i put it in gear it bogs and stalls. i removed one spark plug and it was all wet and engine didnt react to losing a plug. any advise on this problem. |

have you checked to see if the plug in question is firing? I would also look at the plug wire to make sure there are no cracks on it and that it is fully seated on the coil pack ( if the plug wires are removable) also try changing wires around to see if it may be the wire. |

John you need to start your own post, and it sounds like you have an ignition problem, coil, plug, wire, CDI..etc |
