Is this the model with 4 coils? If so, swap the coils and see if the problem follows. If it has a distributor, yank on THAT cylinder's wire and see if it comes out of the cap. I had an old Mark 35A do that to me--it ran great until the distributor moved, then lost #3 cylinder. Idle back down, the ~(@^$ wire went back into the cap and she ran on 4 again. Drove me nuts!
