Hi,

I'm in the process of rebuilding my Mercury Mariner 50hp three cylinder 2 stroke engine, the year of manufacture is 2000. Having trouble locating technical data, such as torque settings for the crank case and big end caps.
Can anybody help?

Cheers
Arfon

Hi Graham,
Thanks very much for your speedy response.
I can continue with my rebuild now.
I've replaced one piston assembly after damaged caused by a section of metal that had brocken off the con rod, quite close to the end cap and ended up hammering the piston crown. I still don't know why this happend, I'm thinking metal fatigue?
Anyway, thanks again Graham, much appreciated.

He's the man, alright! Ask Graham for the size of the carb on a 1943 Aardvark Super 5 and he'll come up with it.
