1988 model Occasionally it runs perfectly, Usually I leave the dock with it running OK then no spark on 2 and 3. While running it may stop firing on one or more cylinders then it may smooth out minutes later. On a bad day only one cylinder will fire for the whole day. I replaced the 3 ignition coils.

I can replace the switchbox. I didn't know why it would work sometime and not others. I guess I thought either it works or not.

You were right! I changed the switchbox and it runs as good as a 20 year old Mariner can go!
