Any tips to get lower unit off to change water pump. |

Pull the trim tab and take out the bolt up in the hole, Remove the 4 bolts on the ouside holding the gearcase , should then be able to drop the unit ! |

He has removed the trim tab and took bolt up in hole out but can only find 2 bolts on outside of of gear case....could that be correct or is he missing something? It dropped a little but will not come off any further. Any help is appriciated to get it fixed and keep out of shop this purchase was as is with a promise it was working and peeing fine....but is not peeing so there fore has not been taken off trailer in water yet. |

Lower units are supposed to be hard to get on,not take off. the other 2 bolts may be at a different level. (2 high,2 low) |
