Hi there!

Please never tell us that you rev to that level under no load, you'll lose a motor faster than you can say "gone!"...

Does the motor run well on the water? Labouring?

When was last lube service?

Has the boat run correctly before this gripe?

I ask because there are many potential problems...

1) Incorrect pitch of prop, too coarse for the hull design. If so, come down by an inch or three.

2) How's the compression? When under load, compression must be good, otherwise no pull.

3) Timing could be out, not advancing under load.

4) Is motor trimmed correctly? I've seem a motor labour because of this...

Hope this helps!

From a wintery Johannesburg in South Africa,

Regards!

Benjamin.

Hi there,

Sorry buddy, I'm out of suggestions now...

Maybe the veterans here could assist?

Best of luck!

Regards from a chilly Jozi!
