a friend just gave me a 79 merc 115 but there is was a catch his dad had taken it out a few winters ago and when they put it in the water to start it his dad has a bad habit of reving it up real hi well apparently he busted something because i just did the piston push test and the number 5 cylinder moved when i pushed so something is broke i guess and i dont want to take the time to rebuils or even work on it so i would like to find someone with an evinrude long lower unit and trade or maybe just part it out unless you guys think its worth fixing so just let me know thanks |
