1987 25 hp water flow?

First let me thank the guys that helped me with my carb problem!Thanks Now I have a new problem?? The moter has not been ran for at leasy a year and a half. I started it and it ran great let it run in the back yard for about 10 min. killed it. very happy!! Then later that day started it again and no water flow?? Would the impeller go out just like that??

If you do not know the condition of the impeller, then you MUST install a new one. The history of these impellers is not good.Most have been found to be cracked.

yes I was going to install a new one anyway, but it went from pumping fine to not pumping at all?? thanks

Im going to pull the lower unit in the next few days to change water pump. If it is in pieces would it hurt blow air in to the tell tail??

Absolutely not, you can blow air into any of the water tubes/channels....
