Took out my new to me 18ft Bayliner Capri with 125hp ELPTO yesterdqy. Engine fired right up and idled smooth. Backed away from dock hit the throttle and knew something was wrong. Engine would slowley climb to 3800 rpm with one or two bursts of power on the way there. Max speed 29mph. I think I was only running on three. Boat was winterized and new plugs were put in after engine was fired up for the first time this season. put in 15 gal of fresh gas also. Stabilizer was added
to fuel before boat was put away for winter. Any ideas what to check? Thanks in advance. |
