long story short, my motor shakes more than I think it should at idle / low idle. I have noticed that the botton "mount" that goes fron the bottom of the transom bracket that connects to the mid-section has alot of play in it. The area I am refering to is where there are two plastic plates that can be removed with two screws and expose the mount. The area that has the play, is the tube the shift rod comes down then goes into the lower unit. The tube has alot of free space where the shift rod comes through it. It almost looks as if there should be a bushing or something around the rod to take up the slack. There is nothing there but the tube and the rod and I can pull the motor back and fourth with about 1/4 of slack in either direction. Should there be something there??? is there any way you might be able to e-mail me an exploded view of that area? I would be really greatful!! Thanks alot! the motor is a 1994 90hp Merc.
