Hi All
I have a Mariner 40hp beleived to be from the early 80's which I purchased having been converted from a tiller control. I have now replaced the tiller arm and understand I need a part to connect the cables and cable casing to the engine internals. Does anyone know the part number/name of this part? Many thanks, Will |

Will, your Mariner is most likely a Yamaha, but need your serial/model number to know for sure. If you post it can look up the part numbers for remote attachments.
Just about all the Merc/Mariner/Yamaha models out there have a complete kit with everything you need to change/modify to allow the connection of the throttle/shift cables... |

what is your serial number, i may be able to help. I just picked one up with the cable that yun over to the tiller and I am going to use it strickly as a remote opertated unit. |
