I found my serial plate but it does not show a year and every web site asks for the serial # but it never matchs the serial # is A139662 am I over looking the year? think it might be early to mid 80's? The bigger problem is I believe my trim motor is out,but not sure on how to find a # on it to replace it |

Jack, your serial is 0A139662 which makes it a 1985 model - part of the Magnum/Marathon series that ran from 78-85 |

if the motor itself is bad then you should hear the relay "click" when trying to go up or down, and there should be power at the motor. If no click then swap the relays around or test the switch. Put in serial #. http://www.usboatsupply.com/Mercury_Mercruiser_Parts_Catalog3a.php?mc=01 |

Thanks ,I can feel it click on the relays,so thats why I figure the motor is gone, now I have to try to figure out where the S# is on it,and I might as well replace the seals since I think thats where the trouble started, would not stay trimed under power. You know what they say the 2 happiest days in a boaters life are........
