So I have a 25hp, 2 stroke mercury. It is on a Craigcat which is a weird/cool little boat. I am on salt water and could leave it in the water. When the motor is tilted it is out of the salt water. Is it safe to run it in order to flush it while it is tilted up??
I can't think of why it would matter, but I don't know that much about boat motors.

most engines have a mercury/tilt switch that prevents the engine from running in that position. It wont hurt a 2 cycle engine to run tilted, but it won't run perfect (float level) |
