How could they not know what that is? The serial # can't be 06#####, that must be a letter. Maybe a G?
That box does not control the oil injection, just checks the gears and tank level. There is a prossess to go through to troubleshoot that.
Start by removing the pump, coupler, and shaft to check the gears and the magnet coulper. (false alarm or not?) Trace the green wire to see if it goes into the #3 coil primary connection on the switch box. That is the only place that can be. I'm assuming the ign is working right.

Hold on. This is and EFI unit. Does this have the water probe on the fuel filter? With the module and red LED in the bottom left corner of the motor?

THe ECU box may do this if it sees a sensor failing for the fuel injection. You may need a code reader at the shop.

Trying to get a 1986 200 black max up and running again. Power head was rebuilt 6 years ago and only has 50 hours on it. Didn't use it at all last year due to not charging-oil warning buzzer and running hot. Everything but hot running seems to be fixed. Just put in 2 new 120 thermostates and new water pressure gauge kit. At time of rebuild newer heads with larger water jackets were installed. Inside heads are nice and clean when I put the thermostates in. Good strong pee tail. Preasure never gets above 12 lbs. Took it out for a sea trial and presure dropped of to 3 lbs idling up my canal. Temp gauge went almost all the way to hot. Turned around and came back. Running normal at dockside but pressure is about 10 lbs at 3000 rpm. What now??? I had a used 100 black max (first year) when I was a teen up in New England. Just mounted it on my old Thompson bass boat and never did a thing to it. AAHHHH the good old days. Thanks a lot, you guys have been a great help so far.

Found the poppit valve and took it out. Does have some corrsion build up but no tears in the rubber diaphram. Going to install a new kit anyway.
Have another hot motor. This is a 77 Johnson 15hp electric start on a 14' skiff. Bought it from a old man who hasn't used it in years. Started right up and runs fine, but very little water coming out the pee hole. I have put a new impellar kit in, but still wont pump. Is there a thermostat or poppit valve in this motor. I have the lower unit off again. What is the best way to blow through the water lines to desolve and remove old sand and corrosion? Thanks

Your Johnson may need a water tube grommet under the P/H. I have had that happen many times. Most did have 'stats.
