250 etec has complely destroyed 2 pistons due to detonation what could cause this only 2 holes on a direct ingection electronic engine and why.

Detonation on DI engines are normally caused by either engine not reaching max recommended RPM or faulty injectors.
If on the 2 upper cyl's, check your cooling capacity (pressure).

I have herd the low fuel can starve the upper cylinders.
