I have a johnson 9.9hp 94".
It seems to be leaking oil (milky in colour)through the prop area?
It would be apriciated if anyone could explane the prosedure, changing the seals in this area.

Firstly what is the oil like in the gear case. If that's not milky then you have no problem and the oil you see leaking from around the prop is unburnt oil from the fuel

read THIS

If water is getting into the oil it is most likely via the prop shaft seal as they are easily damaged by fishing line etc but the drive-shaft seal could be leaking as could the seal on the shift rod.

You should find all you need to know HERE

If you are dropping off the gearcase to renew seals then replace the water pump impeller while it is off.

If Water gets in, more likely drive shaft seal under water pump OR gear shift linkage "O Ring".

Prop shaft seals leak OUT, not IN.

Oil leaking Out?

Prop shaft seals leaks IN if a fishing line gets tangled up.

I have checked the oil in the gearcase, it looks clean. The level seems to be right.
so i pulled the prop off, had a good look in & around the shaft.
There is no sign of oil around the seal at all.
there is a little bit of goowy oil in the cavity area under the shaft.
From the info ive read, there is a good chance that it is from unburnt oil from the fuel. If this is the case i am very happy with the outcome.
I'd like to thank those who helped me with there time & knowledge.
A special thanks to "VicS" for all that info you have provided for me.
