My 1975 Evinrude 70 HP engine quit firing. I notice two of the three spark plug coils are cracked. Could this be the reason and would it keep the third from firing? Thanks, |

If none of them fire-- it would have to be something common to them all. The stator comes to mind, or the box. But first would disconnect the kill wire and the overboard switch (if some body put one on) to make sure your not buying a bunch of stuff you don't need |

Remove s/plugs, disconnect large electrical plug at engine. Crank engine by jumping solenoid. Do you have spark now? If so, reconnect electrical plug, then disconnect black/yellow ire at ignition switch. If you have spark with this wire disconnected but no spark with it connected, replace the switch. Thousands of parts in my remaining stock. Not able to list them all. Let me know what you need and I'll look it up for you.
