Bought a used boat, has a Evinrude motor. 9.9 hp
Model # 15704M
Serial # E0009014
On the look up sheet found Model #15704 without the M under 1977, 15hp
Help, I'm getting confused.

Model 15704 is a 1977 15hp Evinrude.
Look on the port (left) transom bracket for a small plate that will have the model and serial number imprinted. If they're the same, you have a 15hp. If different, what are they?

Thanks Joe, I have the boat stored out of town till I take care of all the fun stuff to get it on the road,license, registration, ins. Will check this weekend now that I know what I'm looking for. |
