Hello all
Here is my problem I was out on the boat today and motor was running great, stopped for about 2 hours
and when I tried to start would not start, was able to start ant higher rpm's but as soon as I slow down to shift into gear it stalls was able to do a quick shift into fwd and runs very rough and max rpm 3300 and very little power limped back to dock and now will not start. any advice as to where I start trouble shooting would be a great help.
Thanks in advance
Bob

Translation..... My engine's running again and I'd rather be fishing than typing. I'll get back to you when I need help again.

It would be nice to know what the problem was as something had to happen to foul the plugs. Possibly the stator has failed, or is on the edge of failure...... when hot, this might produce spark at the higher rpms BUT at the lower rpm range, a voltage drop would exist resulting in failure to energize the powerpack.

More at eleven (grin).

Sorry guys and gals
the choke override was in the prime position and not the run position, I sometimes put it in prime on cold days not the case now, I let my son use the boat and he thought you have to prime to start, and he must have left it up. So it turned out to be a cheap fix just a set of new plugs, to be installed tonight, I cleaned the old plugs and took it for a run all ok.also did a compression test all good 150 and the port side botton 145.
Thanks Again for the help.
Bob
