The lower unit is leaking gear oil out of the water intake. pulled plug and the lower unit is very milky. Could this be a seal or does this sound like a crack? Boat sat in a field for three years and when I changed the oil for the first time it had some water in it,not alot though. This lower unit will probably be hard to find,if it needs replaced.ANYBODY HELP?Thanks Jim |

the proper way,is to pressure & vacuum test,...however,..most common is,it needs a good resealing.. |

The lower unit does sound like it needs sels and resealing...but the only way to check where the water and oil leaked in and out is to pressure test it. |
