i have a few old Johnson Seahorse I was wounder if anyone knows about them. #1 Is a Johnson Seahorse 3hp Model # JW10 Serial# 1048198 #2 Is a Johnson Seahorse Model # HS15 LT10 Serial# 385254 #3 Is a Johnson Seahorse Model # HS15 Serial # 38407 #4 Is a Johnson Seahorse Model # HS15 Serial # 38400 #5 Is a Johnson Seahorse 10hp I couldn't find a plate on this at the time. #6 Is a Johnson Seahorse Model 6RL768 Serial # J4509998 #7 Is a Johnson Model CD20R Serial # 2367362 Any help would be grateful. If you know a ball park value also would be great. |

Those model numbers can be looked up on this site...click on "engine parts" at the top of the heading page. Ebay is the best source for the values... |

I did try there but all of them came up No Match Found. It only goes from 1968 to 2009. I know one on the motors is a 1952 3hp. |

It is hard to say what the price is because it all depends if someone really wants those particular motors. Condition is important. Pristine motors sell pretty good - but a run of the mill motor will bring the usual - what somebody is willing to pay. I have never bought a motor that was as good as I thought it was after I opened it up. So, It is hard to say because there is really no way of knowing. It is a crap shoot unless you know the history of the motor and how well it was taken care of. I have an old JW-10 and it is fun - but I doubt it would bring much. I would say you might average $150 for the lot - but I don't know their condition so it is all a guess. Good luck! |
