I just took flywheel off of my e35elcsm evinrude motor and cant figure out why the stator is so chewed up,has too much play and doesn't look like there is any bushing, what keeps this tight from being so sloppy is it the stator its self? |

I would suspect that either the crankshaft main bearings are worn OR the screws that retain the armature plate that the stator sits upon have loosened. Thousands of parts in my remaining stock. Not able to list them all. Let me know what you need and I'll look it up for you. Visit my eBay store at: http://stores.ebay.com/Evinrude-Johnson-Outboard-Parts-etc?refid=store |

Hi all/Joe, I have a Johnson Model 50ES 75B. S/N: C34417 I had an engine problem. I discovered that the power pack had a problem. I changed the power pack and the engine is now running okay. Now it shifts hard into forward and reverse. I removed the lower unit, and found that the input shaft bearing was seized due to water in the lower unit. I then removed the prop and the front gear from the output shaft, but I can't get the rear gear and the prop shaft out from the case. Do I need a special tool? Can anyone help with a solution to get the rear gear and prop shaft out. Is there a special technique or procedure I must follow to get it out? Thanks for all the help, Tom |
